Submerged Urban Skin
Sonora, California is a town of little more than 4,000 inhabitants in the foothills near Yosemite National Park. But there are more souls here, ghosts of the living and built things of the past that are buried beneath the layers of time the town has worn into the earth. The realities of nature are always present, either in nearby wildfires or in fault lines, creating a haunting undertone to what is otherwise a charming tourist stopover.
